Our Story

The Welcome Home Foundation was created to tackle homelessness with compassion and care. Rooted in faith, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home. We focus on more than just housing; we strive to meet the holistic needs of individuals and families. Guided by our three pillars—Redefine HomeReimagine Support, and Rediscover You—we’re here to expand housing options and offer meaningful support. We aim to transform lives and rebuild communities by blending empathy, innovation, and action. Driven by our Christ-centered mission, we’re dedicated to making a real difference, one home at a time, with a heartfelt commitment to creating positive change.

“Home for me is authenticity, it’s the place where I can simply be.”

Founder’s Perspective

It all began in a healthcare economics class, a moment that shifted everything. As we explored disparities affecting BIPOC communities, I felt a deep urgency and frustration. The connection between housing, health, and access was undeniable. In that classroom, I realized: housing is not just shelter, it’s foundational to every part of life.

Though I’d stepped away from corporate real estate a year earlier, I couldn’t ignore the intersection of housing, healthcare, and justice. That realization planted the first seed for what would become the Welcome Home Foundation.

A few months later, during an unexpected trip to San Francisco, the vision became clearer. I was struck by the city’s homelessness crisis, faces, stories, and struggles that mirrored what I was beginning to see in my own community. It wasn’t just a lack of housing; it was a lack of connection, compassion, and comprehensive support.

Shortly after, I turned down a job that seemed like a perfect fit on paper. Saying no was a moment of clarity, it made room for a greater “yes.” I poured my energy into building something new, something different. Not just another housing nonprofit, but a movement focused on real solutions: expanding affordable housing access and building bridges between the unhoused and property stakeholders.

At first, our exact path wasn’t clear. But through research, prayer, and community engagement, we found our niche; helping individuals navigate the barriers to permanent housing by engaging directly with landlords, managers, and support networks.

The Welcome Home Foundation was born from a belief that change doesn’t happen inside broken systems, it begins with people bold enough to imagine something better. Today, I’m proud of what we’ve built and excited for what’s ahead. This is more than a mission, it’s a calling. And to every neighbor, client, and partner, we say from the heart: Welcome Home.
